Wedding Photos

So, we have had our wedding photos proofs online for a bit now, but hadn't even had the chance to look at them ourselves.  And then sometimes when we would, there was trouble with the photographer's site, so we didn't want to post it and then cause trouble for everyone else.  It seems that all is fixed and OK these days, so if you want to see our wedding photos, leave a comment or send me an email and I will send you the link and the password.  (For security, I'd rather not post the password on our blog.)

When you first log in, a slideshow starts with a draft version of our wedding photo album.  We like most of it, but know we'll swap a few photos or cut back on a few pages.  We haven't made any final decisions yet.  There should be a link at the bottom though to skip the slideshow and go to all the albums from the day, in case you'd rather not watch it or if you log in multiple times.

We our lucky that our package does not require a minimum number or prints to be ordered in order to receive all the proofs.  Once we receive our final wedding album, we are also given all of the digital negatives.  We are happy to send the digital copies of any photos to those that want them, as money is tight these days and we are just so glad you could take part in our day.  For anyone that wants to order some prints, there is a special running now that any 4x6 prints ordered through Valentine's Day (2/14) will be 40% off.

General Updates-Work, Food & Fitness

I know there were specific things I meant to blog about, but since I can't remember any of them at the moment, I figure I'd at least post some general updates so that my mom doesn't have to keep going to our site and seeing the same heading day after day. :)  Frankly, for all the blogs I like to follow, I certainly like it when they are regularly updated, so I am trying to get better about keeping up.

Work seems OK for both Jack and I these days.  He has been quite busy, but never enough that he is working at home much, for which I am very glad.  When the really cold weather hit a few weeks ago, I started to drive Jack to work so he wouldn't have to stand in the freezing temps for his bus.  Although it meant both of us getting up earlier, it helped me get up at a consistent good time each morning, so that has been good.

We are also doing what we can to be healthier.  I took this on in a big way though as I am the one that does the grocery shopping and much of the cooking, so if we are to eat healthier, I figured it starts with me.  Over the weekend, after some quick sale paper scanning, I stopped at Stanley's Produce Market that is maybe just over a mile from us.  They have all kinds of stuff and for so much cheaper generally than at a regular grocery store.  It was PACKED when I was there, but I was patient and it paid off.  I got a huge grocery bag full for just over $18!  We have no excuse not to eat healthier with all the fruits and veggies we have on hand now.

Jack and I also are trying to commit to some exercise changes.  We always know we feel better when we are in a good routine of being active (plus we'd each love to lose a few pounds), so although our gym membership expires this month, we are still going to give it some good effort.  Before joining another gym near our condo, we want to see what we can do on our own to get more fit.  So, we are committing to walks a couple nights a week (which also is very good for Bentley) and we are attempting to use our Wii Fit before work two mornings a week.  The Wii Fit has been a rough start for me since I already get up earlier than Jack, but I am committing to try.  I'm sure we'll be blogging about our progress.

"Well they should!"

I am behind in blogging, but have a few things to share, so I am going to try and spread them out in a few shorter blogs over the next few days.

I was just in Park City, UT for work this week.  Rough life, I know! ;) I have been there once before for the same meeting, but was extra excited to go back again because Jack was coming with me this time.  We decided to fly out a day early to enjoy a little time together before my work kicked in.  Once we arrived in Salt Lake City, we needed to take a shuttle to our hotel in Park City, which is about 45 minutes away.  The shuttle was a shared ride with two other couples, each of which had a little girl that I would guess to be around 3 years old.  During our ride, one couple sat behind us with their little girl, who was clearly in the "Why?" phase, as she asked questions almost the entire way.  Although I am currently not ready for kids, I thoroughly enjoy them when they aren't my own and Jack and I got some chuckles out of all the questions this little girl had.

One of her questions caught our attention when she asked her parents, "Why don't they have a little girl with them?" (clearly meaning us since we were the only ones without kids in this van).  The mom replied something to the affect of, "They may not have any kids." and the little girl piped up, "Well they should!".  LOL - I got quite a laugh out of that one!

Sumo, Family, Seafood & Work

This past Thursday, I got back from a work trip to Los Angeles.  Usually, I'm only there for three or four days, but this trip was a bit longer.  I decided to go a bit earlier because my sister, Amy, and her family were there for a Sumo competition at The Los Angeles Fitness Expo.  Yep, you heard right.

My brother-in-law's brother, Sumo Dan, is a world-ranked Sumo wrestler and lives in LA.  He was competing in an open tournament at the LA Convention Center and invited my brother-in-law, Brian, to compete as well.  So, I got to see both Brian and Dan compete, which was a lot of fun!

The next day, I went with Amy, Brian and my niece, Annalee, to Griffith Park where we played at the park, went on the Merry-Go-Round, and took a little train ride.  Annalee seemed to enjoy it and I had fun hanging out with them.

Mary's dad also happened to be in the area to work at a show in Anaheim.  On Tuesday night, I drove down to meet him and we went to McCormick & Schmick's.  The food there is always great.  It was really great to see both him and my sister's family while away from home.  It made all the asset management, legal and rights & permissions meetings a little more bearable.  Although, the 70 degree weather helped, too!
