Pork Chops on the Grill
One thing I've been looking forward to is being able to grill out on our balcony. The only thing missing was the grill! It turned out that Kristen and Jay had an extra one that they so kindly delivered right to our condo! I finally got to take it for a spin last week and grilled up some pork chops. Mary made a fantastic marinade for it as well as a really great red wine vinaigrette salad. I ended up over-cooking the chops a bit as they were a little dry, but they still had some great flavor. I'm hoping I'll only get better!

Looks yummy. Dad and I are free almost amytime, with a few days notice. Really, tho, I'm so proud of the way you both have evolved in cheffing (?). I don' t know what Jack's cooking history is but, Mar, I do know yours. You've really blossomed and I'm glad to see all the confidence you've gained and the skills you've been working hard at cultivating. May you both enjoy many "happy meals" and delicious hours in the kitchen together!

Thanks, Mom! It certainly has been fun for me to use our kitchen to its fullest since we moved in. My apartment kitchen was just so tiny, I was craving some real working space. And it has been fun for us to cook together too! :)

Practice makes perfect, Jack! I'm sure the chops were yummy! You're lucky you have space for a grill, how fun!

That meal looks beautiful! I'm so impressed....you guys eat like grown-ups! :) I'm excited to move to our townhouse, since it has an actual space for the dining table...that we haven't sat at in 2 years....oops!
